Baylor School has announced the appointment of Rev. Alex Gallimore as the school's new chaplain. Gallimore comes to Baylor most recently from Bayshore Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida, where he served as senior pastor.

Gallimore was selected after a national search conducted by a committee of Baylor faculty, staff, and students. The search committee was impressed by Gallimore's passion for spirituality, his commitment to serving others, and his ability to connect with people of all ages.

"Rev. Gallimore is a dynamic and inspiring leader who will be a valuable asset to our community," said Baylor Head of School Chris Angel. "We are confident that he will provide our students with the spiritual guidance and support they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom."

Gallimore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion from Baylor University and a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as a pastor for over 20 years, and he is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of directors for several local organizations.

Gallimore is married to Amy, and they have two children. The family will relocate to Chattanooga this summer.
